Women, Gender and Diversity

We are an International Women’s Movement and a community of women of Faith. We feel increasingly latent the need to build in the Grail Movement an international network capable of deepening, articulating and developing actions on women, gender and diversity. We are a network that advances the vision and mission of the Grail Movement and strengthens the actions of women, as well as of partner groups and entities, enabling debate, the circulation of information, transformative methodologies and strategies for sharing knowledge and experiences. We aim to be a space especially for younger women and women in the fight against oppression.

The Women, Gender and Diversity Network also aims to contribute effectively to the process of women’s empowerment, establishing strategies that strengthen, integrate and promote the actions of the Grail and Grail projects, as well as the actions of women who are not members of the Grail, as well as the dialogue with other women’s movements and governmental and non-governmental institutions that work on this issue.

We believe it is a priority to maintain inspiration, solidarity and strategies of resistance and struggle in the dialog with women. In this way, the Grail MDG Network provides opportunities for dialogue and identification of the challenges and opportunities that women experience at local, regional and international levels. In Brazil, the Women’s Center has built an important interlocution with the Women’s Gender and Diversity Network.

It is also intended, with the construction of this Network, to establish strategies that strengthen, integrate and promote the visibility of the Grail Movement and networking with other women’s movements and institutions. The Grail in the 21st century must continue to inspire other women. A Grail Network with a focus on the theme of women, gender and diversities offers opportunities for dialog and the identification of challenges as well as opportunities.
